Genital Herpes Simplex


Recurrent infection (comes improves trip) caused by a group of viruses that determine vesicular genital lesions (in the form of small bubbles) as grouped in 4-5 days, suffer erosion (wound) followed by spontaneous healing of the affected tissue. The injuries are often very painful and preceded by erythema (redness) site. The first attack is generally more intense and time-consuming that follow. The recurrent infection is random (no fixed term) may occur after weeks, months or even years before the crisis. Attacks can be triggered by factors such as emotional stress, sun exposure, fever, low immunity etc.
A person can be infected with the virus and not show or never presented symptoms and even then transmitting it to (the) partner (o) in a sexual relationship.
Treatment
There is no effective treatment as yet cure the disease. The treatment aims to reduce symptoms of the disease or increase the interval between attacks.

Prevention
There is no evidence that condoms decrease the transmissibility of the disease. Genital Hygiene before and after sexual intercourse is recommended. Choice of (a) partner (a).
Control
The Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) more common on the planet. Its incidence is increasing worldwide and the prevalence varies by country.
The disease is responsible for the herpes simplex virus type 2, although type 1 can also cause it, once the person remains infected with the microorganism in the body forever. However, it only causes symptoms in crises or reactivations of the virus and, fortunately, there are antiviral drugs able to keep it under control. That is, reduce the number of occurrence and intensity.
Symptoms include small sores with blisters on the genitals and sometimes anal, buttocks and thighs. After a few days, these blisters break and come small shallow ulcers that last from five days to three weeks.

The first infection is the strongest and may show signs similar to those of influenza, such as increased ganglia (íngua), fever and body aches. The following crises tend to be milder. The recurrent manifestations can be caused by various reasons such as emotional stress, physical exhaustion, menstruation among others.
The period before the emergence of bubbles (one or two days) is called the prodrome and is characterized by itching, irritation or tingling in the affected region. If the medication - in the form of ointments and local use of tablets - is employed at this stage, the chances of successful treatment. But the most effective way of prevention is to improve overall immunity. And this is done with the aid gynecological doctor, good nutrition, regular exercise, sun protection and control stress.
