Stuttering

Myth: If the child begins to stutter, it is best to pretend that nothing is happening so she did not become aware of the problem.
Reality: It was believed that draw attention to your child's speech would be the immediate cause of stuttering, causing hesitation common to turn into stuttering. Currently, it is known that this is not true. Talk with your child about stuttering will not make the disorder worse or install. Talk openly with your child about stuttering will make her feel the support of parents, feeling encouraged to share their difficulties. The conspiracy of silence around the stuttering only contributes to increase the distance between parents and children.
