Red meat is essential for the child to grow healthy?

"Yes, it is an important source of protein, fat, iron and zinc," confirms the medical Debra Sarni, chairman of the department of scientific nutrology Brazilian Society of Pediatrics. Against anemia, it is unbeatable. Is full of so-called heme iron, iron or organic, which is much better utilized by the body than the mineral present in plants. According to expert, anemia affects over 40% of children of preschool age in Brazil. Therefore, the red meat should be eaten at least three times a week, preferably together with a source of vitamin C as orange, to increase iron absorption. The chicken and fish are good substitutes, but let me tell you, do not contain the same concentration of such iron-heme.
