Not true. The best treatment for gastroenteritis baby is breast milk. It is very unusual baby require fluids without breast milk. If your baby is lactose intolerant your doctor may prescribe enzymes to milk helped to better digest the lactose in milk. The lactose present in the formula is not better than the present in breast milk.
