Especially red meat presents a greater amount of cholesterol. Especially if it contains generous layers of fat. But that does not mean they should be totally excluded from their menu. "Controlling the intake of other food sources of cholesterol, you can eat red meat three times a week," says nutritionist Roberta Stella. The fact red meat provide more cholesterol, however, does not cause other types of meats may be consumed at will. According to Roberta, lean white meats and also have cholesterol and therefore should be dosed. "Foods that contain cholesterol should be monitored in general.
