What is perforated tympanic perforation or Timpani

If you feel a sudden sharp pain in the ear after a traumatic event such as an explosion or a diving accident, you may be with a perforated eardrum. Seek medical advice immediately. Even if the pain occurs only at the time of the accident, and then pass, you can have some kind of damage to the middle ear. A small perforation of the eardrum can heal itself in a few weeks, if the infections are kept at bay. A higher drilling may require surgery.
Damage caused by noise are related to two factors: intensity and duration. The intensity is measured in decibels. One point that needs to be remembered about the decibel scale is that an increase of just three decibels doubles the sound pressure. Therefore, a crusher of 120 decibels gives more than twice the sound pressure than a normal conversation 60 decibels.
Here are some tests that can determine if you are being exposed to dangerous levels of sound.
• If you are subject to a noise that makes it hard to understand someone who is a few feet, speaking with a voice in normal conversation, you are likely being exposed to about 90 decibels. Frequent exposure to this level can lead to hearing loss.
• If after undergoing a noise you have a mild acute tinnitus and a feeling of fullness in your ears, will be experiencing a temporary loss of ability to hear. If it happens twice or more a week, you may be the way to a permanent hearing damage.
The solution is obvious: stop the noise. Keep the radio at a reasonable volume. If your headphones are so high that someone nearby can hear the music, you're exaggerating. It is believed that the use of internal earphones instead of headphones, have a negative effect on the hearing because the user needs to further increase the volume to compensate for outside noise that permeates them. Turn down the volume and limit the exposure time.
If you can not stop the noise because it works in a noisy environment, protect your ears. Guards internal acoustic (earplug type) and external (type muff) are some of hearing protection devices. Some ear problems are not as obvious as the loud noises. In the next section you will learn how to prevent other hearing problems.
