Contagious disease caused by the mumps virus.

Treatment

There is no medicine to cure the disease. They can be used drugs to alleviate the pain. If you want, you can use cold compresses.

Food: Avoid sour foods or needing to be well chewed.

Bathroom: Avoid bathing when a fever and sore.

School: while swollen, stay home.

Bring back to the hospital

When you have severe headache and vomiting repeatedly.

Continuous fever for more than 3 days.

If swelling below the ear turns red.

If the testicles are sore.

Prevention

- Babies should receive the vaccine is given between 12 and 15 months of age (between 4 and 6 years is enhanced);

- Avoid contact with saliva and secretions from the airways of people with the disease.
