Broccoli and cabbage cause gas?

Yes broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, kale mining, brussels sprouts, and mustard are the genus brassica vegetables. The species of this genus have a protein rich in sulfur amino acids. These amino acids in the digestive tract are fermented by intestinal bacteria to sulfur dioxide (SO2) gas smelling bad. The production of gases can disrupt digestion, besides the problem of discomfort that causes its output. Therefore recommended and avoid eating excessive amounts of these vegetables, because digestion can be affected. It is also recommended not to combine these vegetables in the diet, preferring to mix with others that do not generate gases, and thus minimize the problem.
